His big smile and sparkling eyes made me think what he’s just lived has already become a great memory!.

Naya Nature Academy students will learn to communicate their emotions and respect others’ while becoming One with Nature. In this activity-filled programme, children will mimic how animals move, train their problem-solving skills, and tune their senses as resourceful Native American children would do. They will be actively encouraged to go explore real nature – bugs, snails, plants, mud, birds, etc. -, which will develop their personal awareness of being part of a whole. The Nature Mediator will deepen each spark of interest, inviting the children to recall what they’ve learnt and helping them develop a broader knowledge over time. Eyes on the meadow, feet on the ground, they will investigate, discuss their findings, and learn how to create objects out of their natural findings. Watch out! Young Apache will become a wise Achachak, will you recognize your child after this immersion in the wilderness?
All sessions are led in English. Nature Mediators also speak Dutch and at least a third language. This is a drop-off class for kids-only: children attend without a parent. Once a month, Experts will lead the session, as scheduled in the enrichment programme.

Green city

We believe that child that is connected to nature, is a child who won’t hurt nature, because they have too much respect for it! Getting children to fall in love with their local nature is a good starting point for mobilizing them in their first citizenship actions. Greening the city, reducing plastic waste, being intelligent in the use of water….. Children choose their challenge by themselves and use their creative thinking. This is what we call the “Eco-squad missions”.

Taking part in the development of Naya Nature makes me immensely happy. It gives me the opportunity to work towards the accomplishment of two of my most important life-objectives: 1. Develop, use and spread the methods of positive education. 2. Create awareness and engagement for nature and its preservation. I have always felt I belong on the field, along with children and their families. My background is that of a teacher, an educator and an education counselor. I worked for the Eco-schools program in France and contributed to developing an eco-center in India. I am addicted to fresh air and green spaces. I can’t wait to meet you!

We will meet rain or shine. Naya Nature provides rain pants. A windbreaker with hood is required. We suggest long comfortable pants that can get dirty and waterproof sneakers rather than rain boots, which are not suitable for climbing or running. As you’ll be in nature, just imitate nature for your clothes: dress like an onion !> See FAQ for more information
